Inside Sales Manager (PenFed Realty)

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty is hiring an Inside Sales Manager (PFR) in Alexandria, Virginia. The primary purpose of this job is to fill the lead funnel, nurture leads and actively convert them to appointments for PenFed Realty’s sales professionals. This role will track and report results and must have the tenacity to exceed productivity metrics while responding efficiently to sales leads. In addition, this role will also have the organizational and time management skills necessary to handle the constant flow of leads, subsequent documentation, lead assignment and follow up of those leads.

  • Design and implement lead generation, nurturing and conversion strategies.
  • Develop and implement end-to-end process to manage process throughout the sales cycle to include lead tracking, assignment, completion, and reporting.
  • Proactively pursue new lead sources and business development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of various lead sources.
  • Manage prospect for new clients from various lead sources.
  • Respond to inbound leads from all lead sources.
  • Conduct cold calls, direct emails and perform other lead general activities.
  • Conduct lead follow up and nurture leads within pipeline.
  • Develop and implement scripts and effective communications strategies to convey value proposition and handle objections.
  • Manage lead routing and performance within the contract management database system.
  • Track lead conversion and campaign effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a seamless experience for real estate agents and clients.

Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience is required (Real Estate experience preferred).
  • Experience with MS Office & Enterprise CRM software is required.
  • Understanding of the key drivers of the real estate market, including industry trends, company information and knowledge of the competitive landscape.
  • Experience with real estate lead sources, including Zillow,, SEO, and social media is strongly desired.
  • Strong communication, leadership, customer service, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven success in sales growth.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not directly supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications
There are no additional licenses and/or certifications required for this position.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*


Limited travel to various worksites and on-call availability may be required.
