Real Estate Branch Manager

Summary

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty is hiring a Real Estate Branch Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. The purpose of this job is to ensure continual branch growth through the implementation of unique marketing and business development strategies as well as build the foundation for strong business relationships through the recruitment, training and oversight of independent contractor real estate agents and staff.    The goal of this role will be to oversee the continued success, improvement and growth of the branch by ensuring compliance with regulations, management of branch office real estate transactions & escrow responsibilities.

  • Manage the functions of the branch to ensure efficient and cost effective operation by implementing the necessary systems, programs, policies and procedures.
  • Develop business goals and strategies to meet objectives set by the PenFed Realty Board of Managers.
  • Implement strategies and initiatives developed by PenFed marketing department to reinforce value propositions and develop company culture.
  • Recruit independent contractor real estate agents to affiliate with PenFed Realty, develop and implement programs designed to retain agents.
  • Provide training and business coaching to independent contractor real estate professionals in all areas of residential brokerage including sales and marketing, finance, agency, listings, contracts, ethics and governmental regulations.
  • Act as liaison for clients of PenFed Realty focused on lead generation, transaction management and conflict resolution.  Assist independent contractor real estate agents in obtaining client listings and contracts.
  • Ensure PenFed Realty licensees and transactions are compliant with REB regulations.  Review and maintain Pen Fed Realty transaction files and forms.
  • Implement PFR marketing and business development strategies to increase mortgage and title capture rates among PenFed member home buyers and sellers.
  • Manage PenFed Realty branch office transaction pipeline, troubleshoots problematic files and negotiate workouts with third party real estate brokerage firms.
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution, critical thinking and business management skills to lead a team of sales professionals.
  • Review competitive market practices and makes recommendations concerning adjustments to programs in related areas.
  • Implement strategies that increase productivity and enable targeted achievements. 

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or combination of education and experience that provides a level of skill and knowledge necessary to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions preferred.
  • Seven to ten (7-10) years’ experience in residential real estate brokerage with additional representative skills in residential lending and residential settlement procedures. Track record of success with real estate sales and strong management experience required. 
  • Remain informed of industry developments through publications, professional organizations and networking contact with other real estate brokerages.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will directly supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications

Licensure as Real Estate Broker with the appropriate Real Estate Board. Membership in the following:

State Association of Realtors

Local Association of Realtors

National Association of Realtors

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

Travel

Limited travel to various worksites is required.
